Little yet Exceeding wise – Part 1

There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise

In the animal world there are some big animals like Elephants, Rhinos, Camels and etc; even some fast animals like Leopards, and bold animals like Lions. But our good Lord did not choose them to teach us wisdom rather He chose the little and the weaker ones like ants, conies, locusts and spiders. Isn’t it wonderful!

God is so humble that He stoops down to our level to teach us wisdom through even more insignificant and seem to be inferior creatures. It is true when the Word of God says that God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things, which are mighty;

Let us see what the Lord is telling us from these 4 little creatures.

Proverbs 30:24-28

There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.

In this issue let us learn a few lessons from the ant and in the next from conies and so on.

1.PREPARATION AHEAD OF TIME: Yes, it is true that the ants may truly be called a people, as they have houses, towns, public roads, etc; and show their wisdom and prudence by preparing their meat in due season.

In every field there is a preparation time. We are all blessed with the Word of God and the Voice of God. Many times we obey the Word of God but fail to hear the voice of God for the present time.

Jesus said, “My sheep heareth My voice…..and they follow Me” (John 10:27). If you now LISTEN attentively -the voice of God is telling you “GET READY, My time to fulfill My promise in your life has come”. Therefore, in which ever area you are called to work, prepare yourself for the same. God is going to bring your to fruition, you are about to shine as the noon day sun. Whatever the circumstances, your promotion comes only from God and He alone knows the hour of your promotion. And the Holy Spirit tells you, “It is now”.

It will be a great tragedy to find yourself unprepared when the opportunity comes your way. It is like -You got all that you desired but you are not yet ready to handle it and it passes away. 0! May we never miss God’s timings. Therefore involve yourself in preparation ahead of time.

2.LABOUR, HARDWORK: Proverbs 6:6-11 says, “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy steep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

If the Word of God cannot instruct you, learn from the little ant to labour for yourself and not to burden others. These days the way you spell success is HARD WORK. Apostle Paul says, “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” (2 Tim. 2:3) Discipline your life and work hard, God will bless you.

3.DON’T BE LAZY: The Word of God expresses the nature of the sluggards, who though they sleep long, yet never have enough, but always seek opportunity for more.

The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: It is time to get rid of all laziness and again discipline our lives and be a strong person, focused on what you are called to do. A lot of things may look good but everything may not be important for this time. So be wise and do what is needed to be done. Be fresh and active always.

God Bless You !!!
