The only thing you need to move from where you are to where God wants you to be in Christ – into His fullness, is the surrender of your will.
There can never be two wills in one house or one kingdom. You are the house of God; the kingdom of God is in you. So, you have to decide whose will; will govern everything in your life – yours or Jesus’?
Jesus said, “The Son can do nothing of himself……” He came to do the will of His Father. In the time of crisis and temptation, He said, “Father, not My will let Your will be done”.
He who is joined/united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. How do you unite with the Lord and continue to be one spirit with Him? It is by the union of your will! Your union with the Lord is by the union of your will. Your will has to bow to His will.
By the surrender of your will you get to the place where God will not only fill you with Himself, but, He will also be glorified and admired in you. As He reconciled everything through Christ, He will recreate and restore everything through you, even the creation!
Once the Lord came to one of His maids and kept before her two kinds of ministries. He asked her to choose the one she would like to have, assuring her that He would bless whatever she chose. The lowly maid answered, “Lord I have no will of mine, You choose for me”.
Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall be no longer mine .…… wrote Frances R Havergal in her song, Take my life…
2000 years ago a lowly virgin said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” Christ was formed IN her.
Only one will in your life – His Will!
God bless you!
