Surely ..!

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

In this article let me talk to you about some of the “SURELYS’ ” from the Bible. I believe this will encourage you and be a blessing to you.

1) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Ps. 91:3

Our God is a mighty Deliverer. He is always in the business of setting people free. Today whatever may be your bondage, you can claim your deliverance because Jesus paid the price for our freedom. He was nailed and bound to the cross so that nothing on this earth could bind us. God wants us to be totally free from every hold of the enemy and all worldliness and serve Him in the power of His Spirit and establishing His Kingdom on the earth. Therefore, choose to walk in liberty wherewith Christ has set you free. The anointing destroys the yoke. Walk in authority and walk in the spirit of worship.

Here below is another scripture that will fill your heart with thanksgiving for our deliverance from all our enemies. Let us join the psalmist in declaring the truth with joy and gratitude: Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their(enemies) teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Psalms 124:6-8

Whom the Son sets free is free Indeed.

It is time to forget your bondage and enjoy your liberty. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. He has set you free through the work of the cross. He has done it. God sent not His Son to condemn the world but that through Him the world might be saved.

2) Surely he hath borne our grieves, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted . Isaiah 53:4

This is another encouraging Word for everyone who is going through sorrow or grief. Surely the Lord Jesus has taken your grief and sorrow. Whatever must have broken your heart and is still breaking, be assured that Jesus has taken that brokeness on the cross so that you don’t have to take it anymore. For every heartache there is an answer in Jesus. Even if you have lost your loved ones who were saved, you have a hope that you will see them again.

In Jesus there is consolation and we need to cast all our burdens upon Him. We only suffer pain because we are not willing to give it up to Him totally. Sometime there is a little “self’ involved here – a subtle way of clinging to and trying to get some satisfaction from our pains. No, my friend the Lord has carried our sorrows, let us release and get rid of them.

The psalmist says, Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness. Ps 30:11

God loves to do this for His children. He wants His children to rule and reign in life.Jesus also said, “…that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full”- John 15:11. Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy – John 16:20.

3) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever – Psalms 23:6.

Oh! What a wonderful promise. God’s goodness and His mercy following us always! Wow! That makes us rejoice, dance and praise Him. It means, where ever I go His goodness will follow me it means if I go to a shop His mercy will follow me, if I go to book my train ticket His goodness follows me. This leads me to two conclusions.

a) I will see His favour in all my works and ways.

b) Since His mercy is following me I will not take undue advantage of it. I will never do anything that displeases Him because His mercy and His presence is always with me. Our God is a good God.

Moses got one of the most unique and powerful revelations of God. When He asked God, “Lord Show me your Glory”. The Lord said, I will make all my goodness pass before you and will declare you my Name “.and the Lord revealed Himself saying, I the Lord, the Lord God am merciful”.

What God revealed to Moses is now our portion – HIS MERCY – following us in our day-to-day life. I want you to know that this was done through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Cheer up! The cross of Jesus brings to you and me the mercy of God. Therefore, to some it is a stumbling block and to some a rock of offence but to us who believe, the cross of Christ is the wisdom of God and the power of God.

4) And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. Gen. 50:24-25

I want to share with you a precious promise that the Lord is making to us: He will surely visit us. We have entered the ‘Hour of visitation’. God is about to meet you in a very special way. You are going to have a powerful encounter with God that will change your life forever and you in turn will change the world.

Joseph was sure that God would one day visit Israelites and would take them to the Promised Land. In the same way, every saint of God feels these days that God is going to visit His people and His Church in a very mighty way. There are going to be such visitations of God all over the world that all of a sudden, the end- time army of God will be raised up and will destroy the devil’s kingdom and establish God’s kingdom. The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of Christ.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. I Cor 2:9-10

The Holy Spirit is going to bring a fresh revelation of Jesus Christ to the saints. So get ready for your hour of visitation. Surely God is going to visit you and will take you not only to the next level in your walk with Him but also to your destiny.

Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. Psalms 102:13

“Surely God is going to visit you and will take you not only to the next level in your walk with Him but also to your destiny”

5) Jesus said, “Surely I come quickly”

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” I Thessalonians 4:16-17

“And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Acts 1:10-11

Finally, when you think about the coming of the Lord, there are two things that you must remember –

a) The time is short; lead an upright life and win the lost. Tell people about Jesus and life after death that comes only through Him.

b) Comfort yourself if you are going through any difficulty, tears or heartache. Jesus is coming soon to take you. All the worldly sorrow will pass away and you will be with Jesus forever. There will be no more tears, no more pain, no more sorrow. “Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” I Thessalonians 4:18.

God Bless You!
